Personality & Themes

Studied bureaucratic and administrative-focused magic at the limsan 'admiralty academy of arcanima & natural philosophy'; has recently landed herself an understudy position under the court magus of an ul'dahn pasha; bit of a meritocratic collectivist & believes in the importance of group cohesion and conformity; can be quite stern and intense; firm older sister type and you're never too old for her to take you over her knee; from a big extended family & miqo'te diaspora community in the east vylbrandian city of bellegrada; a lot of stress, quiet pining, and working herself to death; overachiever that pulls long hours and has a lot of people counting on her....which means she's got a lot of frustration and repression built up that's perfect for venting and can be a little ruthless at times; just has those 'predatory miqo'te instincts,' the ones that make her a bit pushy if she smells too much weakness on you; might shove you around and make you do errands for her to help you understand the pecking order; poor thing can't help it if you're going to act like such a screw-up; she... means well enough, though, figures people just need more purpose; and tends to protect those that are 'hers'; besides, she probably just thinks you're really cute...

Relatively tall for a miqo'te (5'7"); athletic; dark eyes, dark brows; intense stares and seldom blinking; wears a scroll case on her hip ornamented with the seal of her pasha; usually has a messenger bag loaded down with books; nice tidy posture and neatly-pressed clothes.

Books on arcanima (duh); dignity; being looked up to and relied upon; and listened to, respected, and obeyed; group projects and general collectivism; being active and physically fit; tennis (ironic as one of the least collectivist sports, even preferring singles); wine with her colleagues; having control of a situation; respecting your elders; girls (respectfully); girls (disrespectfully); the scholarly, pathetically-bullyable, or spoiled types, especially; calling them 'puppy'; and maybe being a little mean to them; good arcane technique and not forgetting the important intersection of physical exercise and mental well-being

Dislikes

Not respecting her time, she's very busy; bad haircuts & the poorly dressed; punks, rebels, and losers; platitudes; male viera & male au ra (mostly the smug, sleazy ones or the ones that think they're byronic hotties); people who cause scenes; individualism; being told no; 'adventurers' (sounds like a euphemism for brigand and graverobber to her); letting her family, friends, or school down; people who act like they're straight from one of her gothic novels; talking too much about yourself; also, losing.

Most of my characters tend to be anti-cyberpunk & sol9 aesthetically-speaking. However, Mehri is a more relaxed character so she'll occasionally have more modern clothes and might even use a tomestone as a cellphone (though the tomestone part will never be in public rp). I still don't love cyberpunk for her, though. Ya'll just rarely make it look good...

In case it matters (it shouldn't): writer is trans, Mehri is cis. Her orientation is trans-inclusive, but obviously not inclusive of people who use slurs to describe their character (f+, fu*a, etc, or if I get a vibe of similar from you).▍ ❝   COMPLEX SHIPPING
On that note, I am open to romance, though I enjoy a good amount of build-up for that and also I like it to have like some level of spice or tension (go ahead, let her bully you a little, it'll be cuuuuute)!▍ ❝   ENTHUSIASM.
Not really a rule, but enthusiasm really works for me. If you waffle around a discussion, I might lose interest, but bring your eagerness to write and brainstorm and I'll bring mine! Of course, you can have too much of a good thing so don't like totally blitz me either!
